Shepherding a Child's Heart by Tedd Tripp
Updated: Nov 5, 2018
Every winter I read the classic, Shepherding a Child's Heart by Tedd Tripp. Why during the cold nights of winter? Simple- it's the middle of my #homeschool year and, by this time of the year, I need a little parenting encouragement.
Shepherding a Child's Heart is a classic. It's been around for years! And understandable so. It's a very insightful perspective on capturing the hearts of our children. It encourages the parents to NOT react to the symptoms of the child's behavior but rather look deeper to see that all the things the child says or does comes from his heart. The author goes on to explain child rearing methods, how to improve communication with your children, and Godly discipline. This book is rich with Godly advise from the author who has over 25 years of experience as a Pastor, counselor, school administrator and father. It's a true how-to parenting classic about how to speak to the heart of your child
So if you are feeling a little lost on where to begin your journey towards Godly #parenting, this is the place to start. You will be encouraged as you set family goals, pursue practical and Godly ways to train your children, and learn how to speak and be heard by your child. This book will challenge you, #encourage you, and inspire you to be a different kind of parent. I can't think of a parenting book that I recommend more than Shepherding a Child's Heart.
